Best Meal Ever

We recently went to AZ and stayed with my brother and my sis-in-law. They have a little guy who is a few months younger than GMan. This nephew of mine loves refried beans like Gman but his mom has come up with an extremely better way at serving it. One day at lunch she slathered some noodles in beans and let him feed himself. This is way better than me having to sit there and spoon feed my child. I wasn't sure if GMan would be up for it but when we got home I served up what must only be deliciousness to babies. It was a hit! My child gets a lot more messy than my nephew so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. For now it's okay, I know to only serve it as dinner so he can get in the bath afterwards. Thanks Nic for the seemingly disgusting but fantastic idea!

ps - not only is it all over his face and hands but it is actually slathered in his hair like gel. YUM!

Goin for a ride in the car car

No we don't drive the car with Gman in our laps. But when we get to our destination he likes to get out of the car through the driver's seat. The Man reaches back and pulls him forward to let him play with the steering wheel. When he is done he reaches for the door handle and we all get out. It is one of the happiest moments of his day. Too bad he drives most places with mom who doesn't do that because that would set a bad precedence for all errands. What a stick in the mud.

First Horse Ride

While making our journey to AZ a few weeks ago we stopped in Amarillo, TX so The Man could visit a client. Whiles stopped we saw this random painted horse statue in a strip mall. Only in Texas I guess.

Halloween Adventures

For Halloween we wanted to get out of the house and we thought we should go to a local pumpkin patch. We did not go for actual pumpkins, we went for the promise of fun and adventure posted on the website. Other than being a particularly warm day we had a good time watching Gman play and explore in the outdoors.

We first hopped on a hay ride that went through the woods. Gman loved the pumpkins that dotted the path.

After the hay ride we went to the petting zoo. This picture shows Gman's feelings toward actually touching the animals. He is all about looking but no touching.

You can't tell what he is pointing to but it is a stinky pig. He just kept pointing to them, giving us that face and adamantly tried to tell us something. Too bad we can't understand him but I think he was saying, "that furry animal smells like my diapers."

I tried to atleast get him to pet the rabbit but he followed a strict self imposed no touchy touchy rule.
There was another rabbit in there that I tried to pick up because the website said you could hold them but it was a demon beast and scratched the meat from my arms. Ouch.

We got to sit on some real tractors and Gman pretended to steer it around the farm. Yee hah!

They had pumpkins to purchase lying on the ground but Gman was using them as drums. He kept walking from one to another hitting them as hard as he could. Not sure the sales people appreciated it but we sure were laughing.

When it was time to go we all got to take a little pumpkin home for free. Gman just kept carrying his back and forth. I should've taken a picture but we got a pumpkin family with a daddy, mommy and baby gourd.

To complete our Halloween adventure we stopped at Pop's which is a gas station/diner/soda store. They sell hundreds of random sodas that you didn't even know existed. They also sell Dr. Pepper made with real sugar and it tastes like a liquid dessert. Come visit and you can have your own taste of deliciousness.
