Mexico, Ay, Ay, Ay!

While a few of you know, and many of you don't, we just spent a glorious 8 days in Isla Mujeres (a little island off of Cancun). The trip started off rough with a 3 day fever and general yuckiness for GMan. Mom was a meanie and still made him get in the water simply to cool him off. Look at how sad and depressed he looks.

Luckily he did recover after many many doses of Motrin, Tylenol and time. Once he recovered he was able to discover just how much fun the sand and ocean can be.

We were able to travel with some friends from our ward. Sean and Becky brought their two kids Simon and Hannah. Gman and Hannah became dear sweet friends who had to spend every waking moment in each others presence.

While we were there we went to a turtle farm and saw some pretty cool things. There was a tank filled with TONS of tiny turtles. That was Gmans favorite one to look in. The picture of the single turtle is actually a giant turtle that was bigger than both of the babies. We could have ridden the thing if they would have let us.

The island was so awesome! The water was the most beautiful shade of clear blue, the people were so friendly, and the food was AMAZING! We ate the best fish tacos and guacamole that we have ever tasted. It was so nice to be able to get comfortable on a tiny peaceful island. So relaxing and very fun to get to spend some time with good friends.

ps - Sorry Sean and Becky, we never got a photo of the two of you, but it was awesome to be there in person with you!

How fun! Jason and I went there when we were in Cancun; we went to that turtle farm too and had our best meal of our trip there. How fun to go with friends, too!

Hey Guys,

Just saw your name on the side of our blog and thought, "Gee I miss you guys!" Sounds like you had a great trip (jealously percolating in my soul) and have acclimated well to Oklahoma. Glad all is well. Much love from Chicago.
