Merry Christmas!

In my previous posted I mentioned how bad I have been at taking pictures so thank goodness for The Man. These are pretty much the only pics I have from Christmas morning. Pathetic, but Merry Christmas!
We got a visit from Nana and Papa for almost a whole week before Christmas. While no pics were taken we had a blast playing, shopping, baking and eating. One of their many presents to G was this fantastic slide that they drove all the way from Arizona. My sweet/bossy kid made everyone take a turn going down it. Nana, you may thank me at anytime for not posting your photo. While I think that you look adorable I didn't think you would want it in cyber space. :)

31 Weeks pictures

Well, I am currently 32 weeks, haven't posted on my blog in a month, and have failed miserably at taking any photos. . I was planning on taking pics at 28 weeks but well, here is my 31 week photo. We have been a touch busy. :)

I am still feeling fantastic, though I have discovered what heartburn/acid reflux feels like. I am not really a fan and my doctor took pity on me so Pepcid and I are routinely best friends. If I would lay off greasy, sugary, fried, and salty foods I would be okay, but honestly who can do that?
Just went to the doc today and it is all boring news. I measure great, I apparently didn't get TOO outta control over the holidays, and GMan made it through the whole appointment only requiring one sucker from the nurse. Total improvement over the 3 sucker visit. C-section planned for February 24th. Totally bizarre knowing when Baby Girl will be here. Nice to plan for help but weird to have "Baby Coming" written on my calendar at 5:30.
Still no name and still taking suggestions. We might have to post our favorites online and ask for help again. Maybe we will hold a contest for names and the winner will get a prize. How does a framed photo of Baby Girl sound? Yea right, we would totally go for something better like dessert or cash. We have 7 more weeks, we'll see how desperate we get. :)
My goal for the next few weeks is to take the camera everywhere with me so hopefully I will document the fun adventures that G and I go on. Hope everyone is great and is gearing up for Baby Day on February 24th!

My Tradition

As a little family we haven't adopted too many Christmas traditions yet. This is the first year that we haven't spent Christmas at someone else's house since we got married. The one thing that I have religiously made over the last several years (since I learned how to make them) are these awesome gingerbread houses. They take ages to bake and to decorate but I love them. I think the reason that I go through all of the effort is because they have stained glass windows and the house has a light inside that actually lights up. Maybe it's the engineer in me, who knows.

Pieces out of the oven.
They don't look like much yet but they transform....

Into this! These are the houses assembled.

I made four this year,

not sure I will ever make that many again. hmmmm...

This is the last house I decorated.

I ran out of frosting so there was no winter wonderland on the ground.

But this gives the general idea.

Now, with my house plugged in, the room smells like gingerbread. Yum!!!

Remodel Done! For now...

Sorry all, we have been remodeling part of our house over the past month. During the majority of that time I have not had access to a computer. Updates will come eventually but since my house is in chaos and I have family coming in 2 days don't hold your breath until after the holidays. Love you all!

Gee Whiz Info

First, it's not my fault that I haven't posted in awhile. We have been doing some minor remodeling but enough that the computer has been unplugged and stored away for the last 3-4 weeks. Today is my first day back to the internet and I have truly missed it's presence. It's amazing how out of touch I feel without checking e-mail, other people's blogs and occasionally a news story. On the other hand I have gotten quite a bit done in other areas of my life. :)
So here's an interesting tidbit that I read the other day. If you eat 5 servings of chocolate a week while pregnant, you reduce your chances of pre-eclampsia by 40%
That's my problem, I gave up chocolate many years ago so I am 40% more likely to have pre-e over a normal pregnant woman. Crap.

Practicing for Baby Sister

He pushed this doll around for an hour or so.

Hopefully he will be just as nice with the real thing!

Bath Time Fun

The other night I was babysitting our little friend B so her parents could go out.

I put Gman in the tub and left to get his jammies ready. Miss B was playing in the bathroom on the floor so I figured no worries.

I returned about a minute later and found the little sweetheart fully dressed in the tub.

What's left to do? Strip her down and have a bath party!

Both kids loved it and played until the water was freezing. I thought it was hilarious and kept these two entertained for half an hour. Rock on!
